education teacher, we
were task to teach
values education to
students as mandated
by the law. Before, I
thought that it is
the sole task of the
VE teacher to teach
the said topic to
the students.
As a teacher from the
different field, I
want to know how non-
VE teachers could
help in strengthening
the values education
in schools thus,
providing a value-
laden community where
the students can get
values.
(Values Education in the
Basis Education Curriculum),
I learned that to ensure the
effective implementation of
VE in Basic Education, VE
teachers should be fully
utilized to help the other
subject teachers integrate
values development in the
subject area they teach.
Furthermore, this objective
entails that majored VE
teachers are recognized to
perform such aforementioned
function.
