    By watching the Teddy Stallard Story, I remembered the first time I decided to venture into the teaching

    profession. At first, it was just to have an experience because I am an attached person to the academe.
    This means I find comfort in being in school and I love the continuous learning experience. But when I
    encountered a student of mine in my 2 nd year of teaching, my purpose to teach changed. It’s not just
    about you as a teacher, it will and should always be about your students. Just like what happened to the
    Teddy Stallard Story, I experienced judging my student at a first impression and eventually learning
    something about this student that made me look at my profession differently; for the better. As they
    say, “Teaching is the mother of all professions.” The role of teachers is not just to educate the students
    but to make an impact on them. And future educators should not just think about becoming a teacher;
    they should aim to be good teachers too.
