Content Standard: The learner demonstrates understanding of the value of research in the area of
interest.
Performance Standard: The learner is able to formulate clearly statement of research problem.

Learning Competencies:
CS_RS11-IIIc-e-1: Designs a research project related to daily life.
CS_RS11-IIIc-e-2: Writes a research title.

I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. Design a research project related to daily life
2. Write a research title
3. Collaborate with group by formulating a research title based on art specialization.

A. Topic: Writing a Research Title

a. Review: Guess the Gibberish!
Directions: How should a research be started? What are the sources of research topics? Guess
the gibberish to find out the answer.

Trivia: Pinoy jeepneys were first made in 1945, just after World War II. Filipinos upcycled the surplus
jeeps brought to the Philippines by American troops.
Thus, Pinoy jeepney reflects the ingenuity, resourcefulness, and resilience of Filipinos.

CONCISE

DESCRIPTIVE: The title summarizes the main idea or ideas of your study. A good title contains
the fewest possible words that adequately describe the contents and/or purpose of your research
paper. The title is without doubt the part of a paper that is read the most, and it is usually read
first.

INTERESTING: The initial aim of a title is to capture the reader's attention and to draw his or her
attention to the research problem being investigate
Example. The Jeepney Drivers and their Lived Experiences During the COVID-19 Pandemic: A
Phenomenological Qualitative Study in the Philippines

CONCISE: APA recommends that your title be no more than 12 words in length. If it’s too long,
there may be too many unnecessary words.
