• Which is the most critical / sensitive important
maintenance problem encountered and solved ?
❑ Problem Encountered:
Delay in recommencement of Bottling Operations as and when sprinklers are operated in
Carousel Area
❑ Problem Details in brief:
1. Generally, when sprinklers are operated, Communication & Supply of Carousel and its Allied
facilities are getting disrupted because of possible short circuit which is occurring due to
ingress of water/moisture.

2. Since supply to carousel and its allied facilities during sprinkler operation are not getting
isolated, possibility of short circuit is present.

3. To rectify & troubleshoot these problems related to supply and communications, resumption
of bottling operations are getting delayed.

4. Chances are that the HMI Cards can fail which adversely affects the bottling.
❑ Solution:

1. UPS Power supply to carousel and its allied facilities has been isolated by taking
feedback from the Carousel DV.

2. By isolation of supply to the HMI cards, short circuit has been avoided.

3. Only after doing the visual inspection and ensuring that there is no presence of
moisture/water, clearance is given for switching on the power supply.

❑ Benefits obtained:

1. Bottling Loss has been minimized.

2. Possible failure of cards has been avoided.

❑ Improvement in Solution:
1. Instead of Carousel DV, signal can be taken from DV panel for
any DV operated for isolating the supply to the unit.

2. ILSD Interlock feedback can also be added for isolation of the

supply.
