Detailed Lesson Plan in Reading and Writing Skills

I. Content Standards
The learner understands the relationship of a written text and the context in
which it was developed.

II. Performance Standards


The learner writes 1000-word critique of a selected text on the basis of its
claim/s, context, and properties as a written material.

III. Learning Competencies


The learner identifies the context in which a text was developed
a. Hypertext
b. Intertext (EN11/12RWS-IVac-7,7.1,7.2).

IV. Specific Learning Objectives


At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:
a. understand the concept of hypertext and intertextuality;
b. obtain information in a customized way through hypertext; and
c. make connections between a text and the context in which the text
is developed.

X. Evaluation

The module instructs students in the Activity to make a parody of a song of


their choice. The song can be anything under the sun. Students should write the
lyrics of their parody and the title of the song on a short bond paper. Submit it on the
next meeting. Students are encouraged to perform their created song most especially
songs that are unpopular.

In the virtual interaction with the students, the teacher encourages them to
use Mother Tongue, Filipino, English, any language of their choice or mix of both
languages. The teacher also allows students to develop an individual approach to the
task and come up with their desired alternative activity that best represent their
diverse learning needs like poster/painting, write-ups/essay, cut-outs/ collage, etc. as
long as the content is still touched and integrated.

Grading Rubric for Song Writing is provided.


Alternative Activity/Outputs will be graded based on the teacher-made rubric.

Individually or collaboratively, identify the development of the context in the


music video, “Love Story” by Taylor Swift. State in your paper if it employed hypertext
or intertextuality. Explain why.

Group work may consist of a pair or maximum of five members.
