Have the students observe the picture in the power point presentation. Let them identify the difference on how
they perceive the picture to that of what the man in the picture see himself on the mirror.
HOW I VIEW MYSELF
Let the learners do the activity on how he/she view himself/herself. Have them choose five verbs from the list
given or they may add if they want to.
HOW OTHERS VIEW ME
Have the students prepare a piece of paper. In the middle of the paper, ask them to write their names and have
them encircled. Let them go around and ask one another to write an adjective that will describe them.
1. Compare the descriptions that your classmates wrote for you with those you wrote for yourself.
2. How similar are they? How different are they?
3. What have you discovered about yourself in doing the activities?
Read the short story “The Centipede”
Prepare five questions about the selection that you want to be answered during the class discussion.
Form six (6) groups, and do your assigned task.

story?
Identify the conflict in the story, “The Centipede,” and provide possible suggestions on how to resolve this.
Afterwards, illustrate this in a graphic organizer using a symbol or image from the same story.
