    Situation/Problem: This release for 8890GC Firmware includes enhancements that includes
    the support for the 8697 Headspace sampler, addition of 32 Oven ramps
    and an Instrument Intelligence troubleshooting feature.
    In addition to these enhancements multiple defects were resolved.
    A complete list of defects can be found in the attached firmware bulletin.
    Solution/Action: Install this release of the 8890 GC Firmware to resolve the listed defects.
    Installation of this firmware must be done using GC Firmware Update
    Utility Revision 2.4.3.0
    Previous version of this utility may cause incomplete firmware
    downloads.
    Additional Information: No additional training is required to implement the changes described in
    this service note.

    System requalification is not required for this change.
