Section G: Future Aspirations

All my life, I’ve been wanting to become a doctor. I happened to fall in love with the
career from a very young age. However, lately I've been doing research as I am not
sure whether I still want to be a doctor or not.

A future aspiration is a goal you hope to achieve in your professional life in the years
to come. Career wise, my goal is to go into the paediatric field as I have a passion
for working with babies. Being a member of the Children’s Parliament can help me
build my self-esteem and confidence in order to help others in the future. My main
aim is to make a difference when I grow up and help the younger children build their
own self-esteem from a young age. Growing up, I was not the most active person
when it came to building leadership skills and self-esteem.

My plans for the future is to become a successful paediatric resident who is able to
plan public speeches on the side in order to educate the young ones when it comes
to governance. If I am a part of the Children’s Parliament, it will help me talk from
experience and give them more points and motivate them more in terms of their
future. It will also give them the interest to become part of the Children’s Parliament
for their own good as well. It will also give them exposure as not many schools take
part in activities such as this Children’s Parliament so that they can go try out for
themselves. This is also important because it is mostly the children that are not
exposed to these competitions that are the best at them.

In conclusion, even though my future career choice does not fit with me being a
member of the Children’s Parliament, I still would love to do public speaking on the
side in order to encourage the younger children.
