The map details the changes in the town Pentland from 1980 to 2007. Overall, there were a lot of
changes in industrial and commercial areas, including the construction of a cinema and the yatch
marina.

In 1980 , Pentland did not have an houses or apartments .The most of the ground was grassland. But in
2007, it changeds a lot. The sea in the north becomes in 1980, the sea had been located in the northern
part of the town, a yacht marina was here now and it has a street along the yacht marina. If you ride
along this street from the left of the marina, you can see the a parkt, a swimming pool and some
apartments . The main road of Pentland is looks like similar in to the past . Along the other roads, you
can see multi-storey car park instead of the industrial f area ront of those houses, it has a cinema . The
car park didn’t oes not exist . In the past – in 1980, you could feel that Pentland was so wide, because
the grassland is over, there is only one industrial area and one car park . But now, it is so crowded, it has
a park, a cinema, many houses, many shops appear . It is meaning that Pentland has more population
and it has grown more and more.

TASK 2

Studies show that crime rates are lower among those with educational degrees. Therefore, the best way
to reduce the crime rate is to educate criminals while they are still in prison.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Studies show that the crime rates are lower among those with educational degree. Hence, the best way
to reduce the crime rate is to educate the criminals while they are incarcerated. In my opinion, this
approach is in effective.

We are in 21th century when the human lives are in a better condition .They can have three meals per
day, buy everything they want and especially, they are educationed. It is meaning they can gain learn
too much knowledge to make their life better , but they also can use their knowledge to harm to other
people person . And so they become criminals. They decide to commit offences, break the law for their
own interest to gain benefits. Anyone says that the best way to reduce the crime rate is to educate
criminals while they are still in prison. However This can not solve the problem But, I don’t think so. The
criminals who had educational degrees, . I believe they have the right awareness of their behaviors apart
from some special cases situations, but they still carry out this criminal e behaviors . This might be due
to/ Why ? Maybe, because of the different in their opions or the hater , the jealousy, … For those
criminals, you can use the educational solutions but it has affect to a little/ little to no effect when they
are in prison. ? But I think we can use educational method solutions can be applied when they were are
young, they do not do- to strop bad behaviors form happening in advanced / in the first place, which in
turn makes the crime rate reduces significantly/ incrementally a lot and makes the society al better
.When they are in prison, if the educational solutions is not effect,- ( đã chứng minh là nó không hiệu
quả, không cần nêu lại giả thuyết nếu nó không hiệu quả) I In case of the educated criminials in prison
think we should use the psychological solutions can be more effective in rehabilitating them.

In conclusion,

 This might be due to their contempt for the society and people or their arrogance/ superiority
complex/ feeling/

Vậy tại sao trong tù nhữn người đó được giáo dục lại, thì lại không thay đổi

 Education can only change people who are willing to be concious about their
mistakes/shortcomings , it has little to no effect when these kind of people are in prison
