The Butterfly Circus is the story of a renowned circus


troupe traveling through the devastated American
landscape at the height of the Great Depression,
lifting the spirits of audiences along the way. During
their travels they discover a man without limbs in a
carnival sideshow, but after an intriguing encounter
with the showman, he becomes driven to hope
against everything he has ever believed.

excellence, the power to act with excellence and
perfection.

This is allied to the movement of the person to
grow in virtue. Man has an interior power to act
in accordance to the norms of excellence. He has
the capacity to adhere to virtuous acts in the face
of changing/evolving circumstances.

In the end, our freedom allows us to make a


contribution in collaboration with others for the
common good and the growth of society. This is
the best way out of self-referential personal
satisfaction and selfish well-being.
