II. Session Outline
Session Title: " KNOWING BODY PARTS: Sexual Part are Private”
Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a) To know different body parts including private sexual parts.
b) To determine body differences and growth.
c) To take care of different body parts.
d) To identify safe and unsafe touches among body parts.
Key Concepts:  Body parts - any part of an organism such as an organ or
extremity.
 Private Sexual Parts - refer to a person's genitals.
 Body Differences - Bodies come in different shapes and sizes,
influenced by a person's frame and composition.
 Body growth - In the context of childhood development, growth
is defined as an irreversible constant increase in size, and
development is defined as growth in psychomotor capacity.
 Determining the safe and unsafe touches of the body parts.

 Explain the mechanics.
 Firstly, you will see a picture with the body part.
 Secondly, you will see a short video of the body
part.
 Then, you will have 3 choices to choose from for
the quiz.

Warm-Up
 Ask, "What are the different body parts? What is
their function? Do you take care of your body
part? How?
 Share experiences related to taking body parts.

Concept 30 mins Activity: Changes as we grow: Pic-Tour
Exploration Materials: pictures posted on the wall
 Pictures on the wall showing stages of growth: two
sets of pictures (girl and boy)
 Let the learners have a pic-tour.
 Focus on the changes they observed.
 Reflect on learners’ answers.
 Stressed that human beings have different body
types and different stages of growth. And that we

 This activity fosters acceptance in body
differences, growth and even flows.
Activity: Touch Me Not!
Materials: Film clip, TV screen
 Present a video clip

 Recalling / noting details about the clip they’ve
watched.
 Explain the word conditioning and its impact.
Valuing 40 mins  Ask this reflective question: “ Why do you think
you need to wear underwear?”
 Explain its importance. Ask “Are you allowed to
touch and be touch by someone in your private
body parts?”
 Discuss the safe and unsafe touches.
 This activity helps learners understand the safe
and unsafe touches in the private part and what to
do if someone tries to touch it.
Journal Writing 30 mins Activity: Hey! I am Safe!!!
Materials: Journals, writing tools, coloring and printed
materials.
 Explain the task: Check thumbs-up if the picture
shows safe touches and check thumbs-down if
unsafe touches.

 Allow time to write, draw, or record thoughts.


 Sharing Option: Offer learners the chance to share
reflections.

 Conclude by emphasizing the critical role of


understanding and knowing body parts and
determining the safe and unsafe touches.
 This activity promotes awareness on how to take
