II. Session Outline
Session Title: “Taking Care of Self After Circumcision”
Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a) Identify the medical indications and potential risks associated
with circumcision;
b) Take care themselves after circumcision.
c) Empower students to approach circumcision thoughtfully and
respectfully, regardless of their personal beliefs.
Key Concepts:  After circumcision, rest when you feel tired. Getting enough
sleep will help you recover.
 Try to walk each day. Start by walking a little more than you
did the day before.
 You may shower when you no longer have a bandage on your
penis.
 Avoid strenuous activities, such as bicycle riding, jogging,
weight lifting or aerobic exercise.
 Return to work and normal activities, including driving, when
you are comfortable doing them.

 Discuss the importance of taking care of self or a
family member after circumcision.
C. Valuing 20 mins Activity: “Video Lesson about ways of taking care of self
after Cicrcumcision”.
Materials: Journal, Television, and Video Clip
 Learners will watch video about ways of taking
care of self after circumcision.
 While watching, they need to take notes the
important things they learn in the video.
 Ask them, “Why is it important to a boy to take
