II. Session Outline
Session Title: "Concept of Love"
Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a) Define love in one’s own words;
b) Explain the key components of love (intimacy, passion,
commitment, etc.)
c) Appreciate the diverse expressions of love in the world
Key Concepts:  Love is a vast and multifaceted concept, experienced by
everyone in unique ways.
 Love can be a blend of joy, happiness, excitement, affection,
care and even sadness or anger.
 Love’s meaning is subjective and individual. It’s shaped by your
experiences, relationships and values. Reflecting on your own
encounters with love, both positive and negative, is key to
forming your understanding.
 Remember, exploring love is a lifelong journey.
 Personal Exploration (Questioning, reflecting and seeking
perspectives) will help you define love for yourself.
III. Teaching Strategies
Components Duration Activities and Procedures
Activity: Visualizing Love
Materials: Whiteboard, markers, pictures of show love
 Introduce the topic. Show some pictures persons
show love (a man giving a flower to a woman, a
boy showing his achievement to his parents etc.)
A. Introduction
10 mins  Ask, "What does the picture show to you? What

 Share experiences related to love in the context of
the picture.
 Summarize key points. Note on the board. Let
them create a definition of love.
Activity: Role Playing
Materials: Activity Card.
 Group the class and give them pictures of different
person (teacher, parents, siblings and classmates)
B. Concept  Each group will show how they will express their

 Learners may use different situations.
 During performance of a group, the audience will
write on their notebook the ways of expressing love
shown in the Role Play.
C. Valuing 20 mins Activity: Emotional Cinematics
Materials: Film clip, Television
 Show a short clip with emotional content.
 Prompt learners and discuss character feelings
and real-life connections.
 Let the learners explore the concept of love.

what is love?"
Activity: What is love?
Materials: Journals, writing tools, red colored papers,
glue.
 Ask the learners to cut 2 big hearts on their red
Journal Writing 15 mins colored papers.
 Let them write on these hearts their definition of
love.
 After writing, let them glue the hearts on their
journal.
