II. Session Outline
Session Title: "Love of Family"
Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a) Identify the importance of expressing love to family;
b) Practice expressing love in a safe and respectful way.
c) Participate in a discussion about healthy ways to express and
receive love.
Key Concepts: True love for family often involves putting the needs of other
before your own.
Family members often serve as each other’s cheerleaders and
confidantes.
By nurturing and expressing love for your family, you can
create a strong and supportive foundation that will benefit all
members of the unit
Family provides a sense of identity and belonging that can be
crucial for individual well-being.
III. Teaching Strategies
Components Duration Activities and Procedures
Activity: Love Language Charades.
Materials: Jar containing different ways to show love.
Group each learners and ask them to choose a
person that will act out the different ways to show
A. Introduction love and have the other member of the group to

After the activities, ask the learners the differents
ways of showing love.
Ask them to reflect on this question, “How do you
express your love to your family?”
Activity: Family Love Tree
Materials: Coupon Bond, Leaves, pictures, decorating
papers, glue.
Teacher will ask the learners to draw a large tree
B. Concept on a piece of paper
15 mins
Exploration Have the learners decorate it with hearts, leaves
and pictures representing things they love about
their family members.
Group the learners into 4 and let them share their
Family Love Tree on their classmates.
Activity: Write Love Letters
Materials: Coupon Bonds and coloring materials
Have the learner write a heartfelt letters to their
family expressing their love and appreciation.
C. Valuing 20 mins
Encourage them to be specific and mention things
they admire about each person.
Ask this reflective question: "What are the ways
you can do to make your family feel more loved?”
