As a soon to be nursing student graduate, I am pleased to be writing to you regarding my

application for the Nurse Residency Program. I am confident that my dedication for preventative
healthcare and positive patient outcomes will make me an excellent choice for your program.

While in nursing school, I have had the opportunity to acquire hands-on clinical experience from
multiple hospitals, including; James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Johns Hopkins All Children's
Hospital, and Bayfront Health. Through my clinical rotations at each of these hospitals, I have
been able to further my ability to think critically, address problems efficiently, and progress my
nursing skills. While all my experiences have helped me develop, my passion peaked when I
worked in the Emergency Department.

My passion for nursing stayed consistent with my experience in the ED because like myself,
everyone valued teamwork, respect, and efficiency. We were the first faces patients saw and we
set the tone of how patient safety and patient care should be. In addition, staying active, adapting,
and critically thinking constantly kept me excited and also careful. I know my experience is still
limited, being a graduate nurse, however , I feel I can progress most and become a valuable
member of your team, while also providing exceptional care to patients.
