I have found my involvement and participation in collegial discussions that utilize teacher and

learner feedback to be incredibly beneficial to my teaching practice. These sessions, such as LAC
(Lesson Analysis Conference) sessions, FGDs (Focus Group Discussions), and meetings, have
provided me with a platform to engage in thoughtful conversations with my fellow teachers. Through
these discussions, we have shared our experiences, insights, and challenges, and have collectively
worked towards enhancing our teaching methods.
One particular quote by John Dewey comes to mind: "We do not learn from experience... we
learn from reflecting on experience." This quote encapsulates the essence of my participation in these
collegial discussions. By actively reflecting on my own teaching experiences, as well as listening to the
perspectives and feedback of both my colleagues and students, I have been able to identify areas for
growth and improvement.
During these discussions, I have gained valuable insights into alternative teaching strategies,
pedagogical approaches, and assessment methods. The diverse range of perspectives and experiences
shared by my colleagues has broadened my understanding of effective teaching practices and has
sparked my creativity in the classroom. Through collaborative problem-solving and sharing of best
practices, we have collectively developed a rich repertoire of teaching techniques that have positively
impacted student learning outcomes.

Moreover, these collegial discussions have also fostered a sense of camaraderie and support
among the teaching community. The openness and willingness to share our successes and failures have
created a safe and non-judgmental environment, allowing us to learn from one another without fear of
criticism. This collegiality has been instrumental in my professional growth and has instilled a sense of
motivation and enthusiasm in my teaching practice.

In conclusion, my participation in collegial discussions that utilize teacher and learner


feedback has been an enriching experience. These interactions have allowed me to deepen my
reflection on my teaching practices and learn from the experiences of my peers. By incorporating the
insights gained from these discussions into my teaching, I have been able to enhance student
engagement, understanding, and overall learning outcomes. I am grateful for the collaborative
opportunities provided by these sessions, as they have undoubtedly contributed to my growth as an
educator.
