International Sports Weekly

Unfortunately, I do not practise as many sports as I would like. However, my favourite sport
is dance, in concrete, ballet. When I was nine years old, I was playing in the park, but I felt
down. Consequently, I had an injury in the back, so the doctor recommended some sports
like dancing. I decided to try ballet, because there is an academy near my house.

When I started, I did not like it so much. In my first lesson, I went out of the class with the
sensation that it was a bit boring. Nevertheless, quickly, I changed my mind. The next few
months, I started making some friends and I realised why ballet is so magical. Being on point
for the first time, it is so special. Besides, when you play a role like 'Swim Lake', it is an
sensation undescriptable. In all sports I practised, I did not experimented that type of
connection. That is why I believe ballet is different.

If you are thinking to do ballet, I recommended you a two things. First, do not be frustrated
when you see people being on point before you. Each person, has her time to adapt her feet
to that change. It is not your fault. Second, I would do ballet for a minimum of four months to
know if I like it.

Finally, I hope you understand why ballet is so special to me. Also, I wish you were
encouraged to try because you will never know until you test.
