Aims:At the end of the lesson S will be able to:
- use the past simple ,all forms in speaking and reading with past time
adverbs: yesterday,last(night,week,month,year ),a (week ,month ,year ),
ago,in(February,2000) ;
-read correctly the ending”ed”( d ,t,id)
-read a story and get the main idea ; recognize the regular/irregular forms;
-to ask and answer about past activities
Skills: reading,listening,writing,speaking
Teaching aids:,Pp presentation with the list of regular/irregular
verbs ,blackboard, worksheets
Organization:individual,pair- work,
Anticipated problems: I assume that S will read incorrectly the regular
form of verb with ed.
Procedure
Activity 1 Interaction Timing
Warm up activity T-S;S-T 5'
* T greets and asks who's missing.Ss answer.
*T asks about homework,checks it up and corrects if necessary.(ex.3,page 90)

Activity 2 Revision of the theoretical part T-S S -T 20’
Aim1:,
*T writes Past simple on the bb and tells Ss that today will do a fixation lesson.
She revise with examples regular,irregular forms,positive,negative,question form
with short answers ,and also the way it is pronounced the termination “ed”Pp
presentation)
Activity 3 Practice T-S S-S 15’
Aim 2: to read a story and get the main idea ,working with the text
*T gives 2 worksheets and asks S to pay attention.She does the model reading.S
pay attention at the past simple forms ,especially the regular ones .S read and
prove comprehension answering some questions.T corrects their answers if is
necessary, and also explains the new words.The next activity is to write the
infinitives of all past simple forms from the story. T gives another worksheet with
exercises.S solve it ,too.
