the third best in Indonesia after the other two above.

difference lies in the intermediary. Marketplaces are intermediaries,
connecting sellers and buyers, while online shops do not require
intermediaries in the buying and selling process.

ecommerce stands alone and focuses on selling goods through their own site or
website. While the marketplace has a platform that focuses on selling goods
from various stores, besides that sellers must first enter and register on their
website.

Disadvantages of Marketplace Online Business

High Competition
The number of sellers in the marketplace makes the competition in it very
competitive. In addition, the products sold can also be the same, therefore
each seller must have a strategy that is applied to get more consumers than
other sellers.
Difficult to Trust
Difficult to gain trust from customers is a major problem when deciding to sell
on the marketplace. This is usually targeted at new customers, due to the
possibility of scamming by rogue sellers. In addition, there is fraud to the sale
of illegal goods.

Conclusion
Marketplace is a platform with a role as a third party, also known as an
intermediary for sellers and buyers in the buying and selling process. It is
divided into two types, pure marketplace and consignment. Examples of the
largest marketplaces in the world are Amazon, Alibaba and Ebay.
