the infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even

disease is highly contagious, it quickly spread all over the world.3 And according to Tropical

several radical changes in daily life. It had a negative impact, particularly on the poorest and
most vulnerable rural communities.5 Preventive measures of contagion were implanted by the

The research will focus on determining the sales of the three brands of face masks
available at Tellus Drug Store, such as Indoplas, Sure-Guard, and 3M Face Mask. The study is
essential since everyone is in the midst of a pandemic; having discussed this would certainly
benefit businesses of all sizes. Furthermore, it investigates whether a brand influences sales. This
study may raise awareness among not only distributors and manufacturers, but also consumers,
notably medical health facilitators, doctors, nurses, and others who are deciding whether or not

Methodology/Procedure
The materials that will be used and the procedures that have been completed are covered
in this section. The study will be conducted in the area of Naic, Cavite, under the supervision of
Madame Emilie Torres and Sir Jeremiah Aniel, to check the credibility of the information that
had been utilized in the comparison analysis. The experimentation involves various processes,
such as: contacting Tellus Drugstore, preparing the survey questionnaires, determining the
sampling technique and sample size, distributing of Human Participant and Human Informed
Consent Form alongside the research questionnaires, gathering data and lastly, analyzing the
gathered data.
The materials and tools that will be utilized throughout the entire research process are
mobile devices, software, Microsoft Offices such as Microsoft Word, and sales at the Tellus
Drugstore. A laptop will be used to create the survey questionnaires. Software and online tools,
specifically Google apps such as Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Drive, are going to be used as a way

survey will be administered both online and Face-to-face; the link to the questionnaire is
provided by the researchers via software apps, such as Messenger and Gmail, and most of
the questionnaires are answered directly face-to-face with the researcher's assistance. The

expertise and guidance are crucial in ensuring the validity and reliability of the study's findings.
They will ensure that both the researchers and participants would be safe from infection while
interacting with them. To reduce biases, the researchers will make sure that all participants will

participants to determine which brand is more salient and test if the brand really matters as well
All information will be gathered and categorized based on their responses. It will then be
verified by researchers to make sure they are accurate and the results are valid. After verifying,
the researchers will use Microsoft Word to generate graphs to better understand the data. The
findings of the study will then be presented in a report format for further analysis and
dissemination.

Abstract
Still, on this day, the Philippines is experiencing Coronavirus cases. The government has imposed
lockdowns and health protocols that prevent people from catching the virus — this includes face masks.
Many face mask brands were created and known in the middle of the pandemic. This study aimed to
determine if brands matter in terms of sales of the three face mask brands the researchers have chosen.
The procedure done in this study were contacting the Tellus Drugstore owner/co-owner, determining the
sampling technique and size, preparing survey questionnaires, distributing the Human Informed Consent
Form with the research questionnaire, gathering data and sales report of Tellus Drugstore, and analyzing
the data.
71 respondents out of 90 respondents think that brand has an impact on a store’s ability to sell. From the
consumer’s perspective of brand recognition, 77 respondents have agreed that there is an impact on the
purchasing decision. Basing off of from the sales of Tellus Drugstore, it is shown that there is no
significant difference between the average monthly sales of the three brands.
Since most results all accepted the null hypothesis, the researchers conclude that in this study, the brand
does not matter when it comes to buying face masks.
