A. Morill Act of 1862- This act is to provide a foundation for growth of Home Economics education
and it is called as the Land Grant College Act. It is established institution to educate people like
women house wives in agriculture and home economics.
B. Lake Placid Conference- this were the first conference started in home economics movement
and the founding of American Home Economics Association.
C. Smith-Hughes Act- It was through this Act that women's role in home and in the society was
elevated.
D. Vocational Education Act of 1962- it was passed by the congress in order to provide new and
expanded vocational education programs and to bring job training into alignment with the
industrial, economic, and social realities of today and the requirements of tomorrow.
