Possessive adjectives (tính từ sở hữu) and Possesive pronouns ( đại từ sỡ hữu)

I, Possessive adjectives (tính từ sở hữu) : ”của....” -> my, our, your, his, her, its, their
- Bổ nghĩa cho danh từ
- Thể hiện tính chất sở hữu của người hoặc vật đối với danh từ đi sau nó.

Example 1:
my cat - Con mèo của tôi
-> “My” ở câu trên là một tính từ sở hữu- Possesive adjective, bổ nghĩa cho danh từ con mèo
- Cat.

- Luôn đứng trước danh từ : tính từ sỡ hữu + N

Example 2: My pencil, her camera, his book,....

II, Possessive pronouns (đại từ sỡ hữu) : “của…”- mine, yours, ours, his, hers, theirs, its
- Được dùng để tránh lặp lại danh từ đã đề cập trước đó. Thay thế cho cả cụm tính từ sở hữu +
N.

Example 3:
This is my bag. That is her bag .( Đây là túi của tôi. Đó là túi của cô ấy )
->This is my bag. That is hers. (Hers được thay cho cụm “her bag”)

- Luôn đứng một mình làm chủ ngữ/ tân ngữ. => Đại từ sở hữu + N.
Example 4:
His phone is old. My phone is new. - ( Điện thoại của anh ấy thì cũ. Điện thoại của tôi thì mới )
= His phone is old. Mine is new (Mine = my phone )
