GRADING RUBRIC FOR THEATER PLAY

CRITERION: SCORE:
CONTENT All elements of Theater were present. The group
15% was able to produce a unified creative piece that
exhibits the elements of theater.
CREATIVITY The play contains many creative details and/or
15% descriptions that contribute to viewers’ enjoyment.
The group has really used their imagination.
Creativity was shown in stage design.
PREPAREDNESS Props, sets, and costumes are present and used.
15% Fully prepared for presentation. Well-rehearsed.
DIALOGUE There is an appropriate amount of dialogue for all
10% members to have a balanced role and to bring
characters/situation to life.
ACTION Playwright has incorporated plenty of action to bring
10% the story to life. The play is exciting and realistic.
Movements are effectively planned and well placed
to add to the action of the play.
VOICE Voice was loud and clear; words were easily

FACIAL Great use of gestures, facial expression, and body
