Responsibilities & Nature of work in Plants:
 Preparation and implementation of QA/QC Procedures, Quality Assurance & Inspection
Test Plan as per Client Technical Specification API, ASTM, DIN, BS, ISO, & SHELL .
 Daily monitoring Shift wise, Stage wise, Size wise and line wise production &
consumption reports.
 Documentation & Implementation for ISO 9001:2000 & certification as per Quality
System Manual & Quality System Procedures
 Liaison with TPI/Clients/Consultant on Quality Systems /Procedures and Project co-
ordination.
 Knowledge of required specifications & their applications.
 Planning & Co-ordination for Inspection & Testing Equipment, Materials & Manpower for
Projects.
 Handling of Customer Complaints relating to Quality Matters.
ONSI Responsibility in Project:
(Inspection Bare Pipe-H-SAW, L-SAW, ERW, SEAMLESS), SEAMLESS
Daily surveillance, maintaining and controlling quality standards as per given
specifications and generating full quality plan for the given project and ensuring quality checks
for all activities on at the site.
 Random witness of, FUT, MUT, X-RAY & MPI as per QAP.

 NDT Procedure, in process control WPS, PQR, and Repair Procedure etc.
 Check the raw material and go through the mill test report for its mechanical and
chemical analysis.
 Witness the LAB Testing (DWTT, Impact Test (Charpy), Hardness Test (Vickers),
Tensile test (UTS). Bend Test, Chemical Test, Micro Testing,
 Witness the coil, pipe stamping for the mechanical testing.
 Check the in process control as per WPS/ PQR (welding GMAW auto & semi auto,
Internal External-SAW, SMAW.
 Conduct the Welder Qualification and select the appropriate welder for the project.
 Witness the welding parameter as per WPS.
 Witness the visual in welding to find the defect for repair and rejection purpose.
 Witness the Hydro test as per the procedure and time.
 Witness the pressure gauge used for hydrostatic testing with “Dead Weight Tester”.
 Calibration of pressure gauge of hydro tester, Seam UT, Body UT, Manual UT and MPI.
 Final inspection in Visual & Dimensional check (outer diameter, thickness, weight, out of
roundness, end square ness, straightness, bevel angle, root face, end flushing, length,
radial offset, out of line weld bead/ misalignment, height of weld bead, dents, undercuts,
 jointers & scalp end weld ) carried our randomly and found within acceptable limits.
Responsibility in Project:
Inspection in Coating -3LPE,3LPP, FBE, DFBE, CWC)
Internal coating,(solvent base,free solvent base)
for Epoxy, Adhesive and Polyethylene.
Witness of Raw Material Tests for all batches of Epoxy, Adhesives and Polyethylene.
 Witness of the Procedure Qualification Tests at all stages as per Approved QAP.
 Witness / Verify the Calibration of Equipments.
 Witness / Monitor Storage of Raw Material, surface Defects, Bevel Damages if any,
Ambient Temperature, relative Humidity, Pinhole Test, Cure Test, Adhesion Test, Bend
Test, Chloride test, Salt Contamination Test, CD Test, Pipe Temperature, Adhesive Film
