Start By:

a. Remove the gear pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Transmission Charging and Scavenge) - Remove" for the correct
procedure.

1. Remove three bolts (1) from the magnetic screen (2).

2. Remove magnetic screen (2) and the O-ring seal from gear pump (3).

3. Remove two bolts (4) and the washers from the gear pump (3).

4. Position gear pump (3), as shown.

5. Remove two O-ring seals (5) from gear pump (3).

6. Remove four bolts (6), eight rubber coated washers, and four steel washers from gear pump (3).

7. Remove pump manifold assembly (7) and the O-ring seal from gear pump (3).

8. Remove two dowels (not shown) from the pump manifold assembly (7).

9. Remove oil pump body assembly (8) and the O-ring seal from gear pump (3).
Note: The assembly includes oil pump gear assemblies and oil pump gears.

10. Identify two oil pump gear assemblies (10) and oil pump gears (11) for assembly purposes. Remove two oil pump gears (11) from oil pump
gear assembly (10) and oil pump gear assembly (12).

11. Remove woodruff key (9) from oil pump gear assembly (12).

12. Turn the oil pump body assembly (8) around 180 degrees. Remove oil pump gear assembly (10) and oil pump gear assembly (12) from oil
pump body assembly (8).

13. Identify the location of two oil pump gears (13) on oil pump gear assembly (10) and oil pump gear assembly (12) for assembly purposes.
Remove two oil pump gears (13) from oil pump gear assembly (10) and oil pump gear assembly (12).

14. Remove two woodruff keys (not shown) from the oil pump gear assemblies and underneath oil pump gears (13).

15. Use tooling (A) in order to remove two bearings (14) from oil pump body assembly (8).

16. Remove oil pump body assembly (15), four dowels (not shown), and the O-ring seal from pump cover assembly (17).

17. Use tooling (A) in order to remove two bearings (16) from pump cover assembly (17).
