repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with
suitable containers before opening any compartment or
disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, PERJ1017, "Dealer Service Tool

Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain
fluids on Cat® products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and

mandates.

1. Remove bolts (1) from cover (2).

2. Remove sealing washers (3) and washers (4) from bolts (1).

3. Remove bolts (5), the washers, and cover (2).

4. Remove O-ring seal (6) from cover (2).

5. Remove gears (7) from the gear assemblies.

6. Remove woodruff key (9) from gear assembly (8).

7. Remove manifold assembly (10) from body assembly (11).

8. Remove O-ring seal (12) from manifold assembly (10)

9. Inspect sleeve bearings (13) and replace as necessary.

10. If, replacing sleeve bearings (13) use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to remove
sleeve bearings (13) from manifold assembly (10).

11. Remove dowels (14) and gears (15) from body assembly (11).

12. Remove woodruff key (16) from gear assembly (9).

13. Remove body assembly (11) from cover assembly (17).

14. Inspect sleeve bearings (18) and replace as necessary.

15. If, replacing sleeve bearings (18) use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to remove
sleeve bearings (18) from body assembly (11).

16. Remove gear assemblies (19) and (8) from cover assembly (17).

17. Remove O-ring seal (21) and dowels (20) from cover assembly (17).

18. Remove lip seals (22) and retaining ring (23) from cover assembly (17).

19. Inspect sleeve bearings (24) and (25), replace as necessary.

20. If, replacing sleeve bearing (24) use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to remove
sleeve bearing (24) from cover assembly (17).

21. If, replacing sleeve bearing (25) use Tooling (B) to remove sleeve bearing (25) from
cover assembly (17). Refer to Reuse And Salvage Guidelines, SEHS8428 ,
"Removing and Installing Bushings and Pressure Plates in Hydraulic Gear Pumps"
for information about using Tooling (B).
