Group Member Participation Assessment

Provide feedback regarding the participation of each of your group members in terms of quality
and quantity. Information will be compiled to determine the participation score for each person.
You will assess your own participation, as well as that of each group member and the group as a
whole.

Your score on this assignment is a composite of your self-evaluation, the evaluations of your
group members, your participation in the group discussion open forum, your professionalism on
the project (did you work well with others?), and my evaluation of your professionalism, your
active presence in the class, and your group participation. If you do not score yourself, then that
will lower your grade on this assignment. Self-evaluation is an important part of the reflection
process.

1. Type your name in the second blank row of the NAME column. Type the first and last
names of other group members, one per row, in the remaining spots.
2. Type a score between 0 and 10 for the group as a whole, and for each person (each row)
into the SCORE column. Evaluate your research colleagues based on both the quality and
quantity of his or her contributions, based on group member expectations.
3. Type an explanation of how the group as a whole performed (Were all of your
assignments submitted on time? Were revisions completed in a timely manner? Was the
group’s work of good quality and representative of an APA professional paper? Did you
work well together?) in the first row of the COMMENTS column.
4. Type an explanation of what/how each group member contributed to the project in the
COMMENTS column. Be candid and as thorough as possible. Row height will expand as
needed.
5. Save the document and submit it to Canvas—be sure you are submitting it in the correct
place (otherwise, it may not be confidential if you accidentally submit it to a group
assignment)

Group Assessment 9 Very pleasant group to work with. Everyone was super
nice and understanding, mostly everyone was on top of
their work and contributed. Good group overall!

Mikayla Diamond 9 I would say that I did a decent job in this group.
Although I was locked out the longest, which did affect
some of my participation, I felt I made up for it with my
communication. I was still participating where I could
while being locked out and updating the group about
my situation and the progress on it. Once I gained
access again, I made sure to stay on top of all my work
 and participation. Qualtrics was a struggle because of
the lock out, and because of that I didn’t have our
revised IRB so it took a couple tries. The team was
great in helping me out though, and I met with them
several times to make sure things looked good. Of
course there is always room for improvement but
overall I am happy with my contribution to the team
even with the lock out affecting my access so heavily.
Akshay Chowdhary 10 Akshay was really helpful in group work! He
contributed a lot and was very helpful and
understanding. Nice person to work with, not much else
to say! Good worker and groupmate.
Alexis Gonzales 5 Alexis was a pretty good groupmate overall, but I felt
her contribution was a little less than it could have
been. I didn’t really hear from her much in the group
chats or contributing to the conversation too much. I
also felt like her contribution in group work was a little
low. I don’t know if she did her job as the SONA
overseer, but I didn’t hear any updates from her on that
aspect. Unfortunately she waited until the last minute to
send her part of the paper to us and it was not per the
guidelines. There was ample time and we waited for
over an hour for her response. It is not very respectful
to leave your groupmates waiting while the rest of your
team is making sure everything is perfect for the
finishing touches.
John Vue 7 John was a pretty good groupmate, however I felt like
his contribution to the team was very minimal. I didn’t
see a lot of engagement from him in conversations
about our topic, and not a lot of participation on group
assignments as well. He definitely could have
contributed a lot more, thankfully there were other
people who were helping out. I don’t think the poster
coordinator had to do anything in the end so that also
kind of made it so he didn’t have to participate a lot.
Overall though he was a nice person to work with but
his contribution should have been higher.
Melissa Savage 10 Melissa was an amazing group leader. She always made
sure everything was together and ready to go, and that
people stayed on top of their work. Very sweet and
really nice to work with. I can’t say how amazing she
was to work with. She was so put together and did so
much more than asked! Great teammate!
