One of the well know and the cheapest medium of public transportation in the country is

the jeepney, with a driving period with an average of 10 hours a day, filipino jeepney

drivers are exposed to an uncomfortable posture or position. This study intend to

assess the jeepney drivers workspace and their driving condition in relation to their

+anthropometric basis and their workspace scope in order to determine the sources of

uncomfortable posture. Through out the survey among jeepney drivers inside UP

Diliman campus was manage to identify the discomfort experience by the drivers. In

addition, a workspace evaluation in similarities with the drivers anthropometric

measurement was also conduct to seek out variation that accounts for the discomfort

felt, It shows that jeepney drivers working condition position can affect their health and

safety.

In urban areas of the Philippines, jeepneys are the most easily available and reasonably

priced public transit. The purpose of this study was to determine how satified

passengers were with a jeepney’s overall level of service. A total of 600 jeepney riders

freely responded to a 59-question online survey. The structural equation modeling

(SEM) method was used to examine a number of variables at once, including

passenger expectations, cleanliness and comfort, ambiance, safety, driver behavior,

service adequacy, route efficiency, information materials, value for money, passenger

satisfaction, and future intentions. According to SEM, the drivers demeanor, value for

money,service quality, and informational materials had the least impact on passenger

satisfaction, with safety having the most impact. The first comprehensive analysis of

Jeepney is one of the most popular modes of public transfortation in the Philippines,

with Filipino passeneger using Jeepney as their main form of transfortation to travel to

their destinations on daily basis. The government decided to implement the Jeepney

Modernization Program, in which old regular jeepneys were gradually phased out and

replaced with modernized jeepneys, due to its negative issues, including its lack of

maintenance system, ensuring the safety of the passengers and drivers, adverse effect

to the environment, and improper loading and unloading of passengers. The

implementation, difficulties, and effects of upgrade jeepneys in the Philippines were the

main subjects of this study. This sougth to ascertain the differing perspectives of the

three(3) parties involved: the operator/driver of jeepneys, the passenger, and the

manufacturers of upgraded jeepneys, including the government initiatives.
