SECOND SEMESTER, AY 2022-2023

Project Title: The Clean-up Drive

This program will be more on cleaning the surrounding areas with a lot
of trash especially plastics that may be dangerous to our environment.
The garbage will be segregated according to what type of garbage they
are whether it’s biodegradable, non-biodegradable, or recyclable. A clean
environment is beneficial to those who are living in it. Some advantages
include lesser risk of contracting disease, a bug infestation is prevented,
and stress is significantly reduced. We also hope that this little service
may inspire the people to maintain cleanliness for the environment.

March 11, 2023 (Week 1)
Progress Report Matrix

We started our project at 9 AM. The first route we took was beside the
barangay hall. At first, the people are curious about why we’re cleaning the
sidewalks. We explained why we had to do this, and they understood
immediately and showed us their support. Despite of the heat, we managed
to clean the area and finished at 12 noon.

There was no risks and roadblocks because everything went smoothly.

Observations and Community Feedbacks

We observed that the People in Barangay Maytubig burn the trash they
collect which is somehow dangerous for our ozone layer especially if they
burn plastics. There’s a woman who gave us refreshments and praised what
we’re doing for the community.

We gathered the scattered garbage and carefully put them in the trash bag.
This is the simple trash bag recycled from a sack of rice that we left for the people to use.

We removed the wild grass/invading grass.

March 30, 2023 (Week 2)

Joanna Encarnado
After weeks of doing our community service, I can’t deny that I’ve grown attached to this project
and the place. Despite the heat and hunger, we managed to overcome this challenging but fun
service. I found joy on leading the group that tries their best on participating in every activities.
The people in that Community are kind and cheerful as well. If I were to choose between
stopping and continuing the service, I would probably continue but I think that wouldn’t be
possible without the help of my friends. We have our future plans and ambitions. I learned a lot
of things and experienced a very exciting adventure. Thank you for the NSTP teachers and
anyone who made us do this service. We are more than happy to serve the community even in
the brief period of time. In the first week of our service, we were hesitant, shy, and unfamiliar
with what we were gonna do. But as times goes by and as our area went further than where we
first started, we did our best to clean the sorrounding area. We carried trashbags around and
collected every garbage we could find. We also left trashbag for the people to use when we’re not
around. A clean area is a beginning of change. there might be another trash or debris after a few
days, there are still people in our community that do more good than bad that might clean and
save the environment.

In the first place I and my group, we really don't know what we will do and where for our community
service we plan about feeding program,tree planting but at the end we came up to the idea of cleaning
program/clean up drive and we decided we will do it in brgy maytubig why maytubig? first when we saw
the place we already have the idea of okay we need to do something to make this place beautiful and we
started from asking permission to the brgy captain and the captain response was very nice because he tell
us that if we need anything just tell him and after that we start cleaning the people their was very
hospitable after a minute of our first week there's an old woman who offered us to eat and after we finish
our first week of cleaning up drive although most of us is tired but there's another woman who gives us
Coca-Cola to drink for she know we all thirst for about 4 hours of cleaning, and on the second week we
all tired in different activities but we go back again in brgy maytubig to check and see if what else we can
do to make it more beautiful and then we clean into thee sidewalk part and came up to the another idea
which is to provide a trash bags/,can so we put trash bag which has the name written biodegradable and
non biodegradable and on the third week we think another plan into the upper part of the sidewalk we
clean again and a lot of people ask us for what purpose why we do and after we clean were so happy
because most everyone who passing through the sidewalk says wow so clean and tell us to continue but
some feels pity for us because we still continue cleaning despites of the heat/sun but for us it is our
privilege to clean the surroundings not just for grades but for the people also were so happy we can thier
smile saying so clean and on the last week we cut the grass of the ground and put on the right and left
side trash bags for the purpose of proper waste management in that people won't throw thier everywhere
anymore and we also leave a letter in the stone that were honored to clean thier brgy and in our last week
we check the response of people about our precious deeds and all we received is good comment and we
can feel that they are thankful even in a simple way we really thank the woman who give us water to
drink from first week to last she's always give us what we need and also were really thankful in NSTP
community service for teaching and challenging us to love more our community to become a good citizen
in this world and most especially to my group mates who never give up despites of heat and tiredness
thank you all.

John Miguel Mendoza

I might not be able to attend most of the community service, but the times I attended the service was the
times I couldn’t forget. We had our best times cleaning the environment. Despite of a lot of garbage, heat,
and hunger, the satisfaction after seeing the clean environment is unforgetable. I want to experience
everything again and again. The idea of leaving trash bags for people to use is really good and useful. I
am thankful to those who helped better our community especially to my friends who was there and are
willing to complete the service. I’m also thankful to those who supported us and gave us fruits and water.
Even though the place is kind of far from Isabela, we manage to reach and do something for the
community. Thank you to our Almighty God that never gave up on protecting us and helping us have the
strength on completing this important task. I am glad with this new experience and I hope that what we
have done inspired people to care more about the environment.

We had a community service in barangay maytubig. It was such a nice experience because we actually
cleaned the place, cleaning is not really my for but doing it with friends was nice.it was very hot that day
but we still managed to tidy up the place.

Cleanliness is on how to care and to be responsible in our community and environment.A side from that it
is also as issential part of self-growth it has been said that the part of of living is when you get lost to
the service for others.Once you serve .it doesn't only create a positive impact on your community but also
gives beneficial affects on you as a person. When you serve the community, you will help increase the
possibility to achieve the cleanliness. As a person you gain benefits of serving by building a bond and
connecting with others. What I learned when I was cleaning the sorrounding I feel happiness in my heart
I'm happy with the way of how I help the people clean the sorrounding.

I realized that I have never given myself much in community service. there is a lack of awareness about
community service among people especially among student. So I volunteer myself in Brgy maytubig
Every Saturday. Training with my classmate 4 hours to cleaning.

We create awareness among college student by distributing portfolio about to how/what I have learned by
taking part in community service introduced to good values and morals values such as humility,
gratefulness, honesty sincerity and respect are among the important virtues that one can get from helping
the residential district.
The more hours student spend doing community work. the more service will help them in recognizing
their educational, social and development.when doing my community service,I applied all the lessons ang
skills I learnt during talk, during clean. We used our experience with the student on the first day make
decision on what activities should be organized according to their abilities. Most student required
community service, these little actions still appreciation within ourselves and obligation allow us to learn
about ourselves in the world, demanding us to see student from different circumstances and help those
needs.

It is an excellent way for individuals get to involved in their communities and help those who are in. need
community Through people, can service connect with others who share similar values, and it can
contribute personal their and professional development.

Community service also makes a significant impact on the lives of those who receive the service. For
example, volunteering at a homeless shelter, soup kitchen or food bank can help feed those are hungry
and provide much who-needed resources for those who are struggling. Additionally, to helping local
parks, beaches, up clean or streets can help improve the environment, beautify public spaces, and enhance
the quality of life for residents.

In addition to the benefits for individuals and communities, community service can also have a broader
impact on society. It can raise awareness about important social issues and inspire others to get involved
and action. When take see others helping in their community, it can encourage them to do and same the
lead to a more compassionate and supportive society.

In our community service in brgy, maytubig Isabela I had learn that even in a simple way we could help
our community . We do a lot of things in our community service there were a time that after we finish
cleaning the place we go to the house of our klamate elardo and we do a lot of adventure their. I climb
the sergulas tree and we eat it .Even we were tired we also in joy our community service it is indeed a
very wonderful experience and a lot of lesson we learn . We also put some dyi garbage bag there so the
people in there barangay can solve the garbage problem. I hope that our community service in brgy
maytubig well give courage or insperation to the people in that brgy to clean and help our nature

I am Raj Magarso bachelor in science information technology. In this month every week we do
community service once every saturday. We did a lot, cleaned and swept.In order to keep the environment
clean, the first thing you should do is to be clean in your actions,like throwing garbage in the right
container, the biodegradable is only for the biodegradable, the plastic is for the plastic. Don't throw your
garbage in everywhere. We do this to help them,to maintain the cleanliness in their environment.

Why do we this?

Well we don't do this because we need to do,we do because it is a must. At first I do it for my grades but
cleaning the environment gives us joy. We also became close to each other. Our goal in a few months is
for their place to be clean and tidy and beautiful to look at even though their place is really beautiful
