RESULTS

We achieved the objectives of our program in each of our neighborhoods and

learned the importance of community along the way.
For those of us who had neighbors participating with us, the awareness for a clean
neighborhood isn’t hard to perceive if the community works together to maintain
it.
REFLECTIONS

Amaraiesan Manogaran
I feel like I have accomplished somewhat of an
achievement by carrying out this project as
now I have a cleaner neighbourhood. Some of
the security guards in my neighborhood helped
out too. Glad I had the chance to spend some
time with my guards and teaching them the
values of keeping the neighborhood clean. We
all had fun in doing so and hope to carry out
more projects such as this in the future.
REFLECTIONS

Harzhvell A/L Thankaraja

I felt proud of myself after cleaning the
neighborhood because I haven’t done it before
this. This was first experience in my cleaning
my neighborhood. It was tiring but I enjoyed
cleaning.
REFLECTIONS

Malaveka A/P Raman

I felt really great to clean my neighborhood
together with my neighbors as this activity
made our bonding even stronger. We had lots
of fun while cleaning the neighborhood.
Besides that, I felt 100% satisfied after
conducting the 'Gotong Royong' as we
managed to clean the neighborhood without a
rubbish can be seen. I am looking forward to
get engage in community program like this in
the future.
REFLECTIONS

Megan Aren Jecky

My neighborhood feels surreal because
everyone keeps their areas clean and they do
their part to beautify their own homes that
complements the entire neighborhood.
As a small community, we watch out for each
other and it was nice to be able to show my
appreciation by cleaning the communal
garden.
REFLECTIONS

Rishikeshan A/L Ghana Segaran

My neighbourhood is situated in a small
cowboy town. The awareness about COVID-
19 here is very inadequate. Hence, I opted to
give away free masks for the children hanging
around the playground. And I have also
stressed the importance of staying safe during
this awful pandemic.
REFLECTIONS

Stephen Raj A/L Santhana Elwin

It was a very special moment to clean up the
playground where me and my neighborhoods
play every evening. My grandfather really
helped me to make the process faster. My
gratitude appreciation for my neighborhoods
also for always maintaining the playground to
keep tidy. I felt satisfied and free for indulging
myself into this awesome activity.
REFLECTIONS

Suria A/L Seevarathenam

My neighborhood is situated in a very busy
area so the area always gets messy. during this
pandemic time my community give less effort
to clean the parks and outside their houses. So
as my part I went to the park and remove some
rubbish and the clogged water in the tyres.

I felt great honestly after cleaning up the
neighbourhood because it's like cleaning your
own room after few months. Those satisfaction
is really indescribable and the reaction given
by the neighbours was unexpected . Some
neighbours even give us drinks in the process,
some smiled at us and gives a thumb up.
REFLECTIONS

Yong Wai Xiang

After this gotong royong , I feel very touch
because I had learnt something and done a
good deed. Although I am the only one doing
it but I feel proud that I did something that can
beautify my neighborhood and even save the
Earth. I was never involved in a gotong royong
in my neighborhood . Normally I will just give
excuses and stay at home doing nothing rather
than going out to help the others. This activity
is really meaningful , I hope that everyone can
also try this out.
CONCLUSION

The project was favorable not only to the students but to our communities as well.
Through this activity, we hope the spirit of community was instilled and
continued efforts to maintain the cleanliness of our neighborhoods is practiced to
thwart the curve of COVID-19 from spreading as well as breeding grounds for
dengue.
