Still, implementation would not have been possible if we did not have a
support of many individuals and organizations. Therefore we would like
to extend our sincere gratitude to all of them.

First of all we are thankful to [One Hope Meeth – donor] for their
financial and logistical support and for providing necessary guidance
concerning projects implementation.

We are also grateful to Mr. Jaskaran Singh for provision of expertise,

and technical support in the implementation. Without their superior
knowledge and experience, the project would like in quality of outcomes,
and thus their support has been essential.

We would like to express our sincere thanks towards volunteer

researchers who devoted their time and knowledge in the implementation
of this project.

Nevertheless, we express our gratitude toward our families and

colleagues for their kind co-operation and encouragement which help us
in completion of this project.
 Introduction:
In this project we have done and enjoyed a lot and spread
happiness among others. The title of the projects indicates and
justifies our action.In this we have performed several activities
which have done a great role to improve our society in a better
way, by providing cloths and sweets to the poor children’s’ which
are living in slums and planting trees in nearby areas. We have
planted trees and done some social work with the NGO. The name
of my NGO is ONE HOPE Meeth. This non-government
organization provide us the details and the ideas to help others
and help us to guide them or we can say lead them to the
betterment. But there are some other tasks which I performed
with my university friends also. The tasks are not different which I
mentioned above , we can say that the task we performed are
similar. But with your friend it is on the different level. We
enjoyed and also feel the joy of shearing.
 Problem identification and the
cause of the problem:
There are many problems for a poor family, but still they keep
smiling in the worst situation, which makes them the happiest
people. They try to share their pain and the problems with others
who cares about them. They live their life in such a manner that
they have many good friends on which they can relay.
But if we talk about the problem…we can contradict our
statement with a small phrase – “people with the biggest smile
have the deepest scars”. Don’t think that there are no problems in
their life. The major problem for them is money. Money is the
only thing which can buy the material happiness. They are happy
but when they see someone having something expensive or
wearing good clothing, their eyes shine, and you can see the
sorrow and the dull faces.
Another problem that our society is facing is the global warming
and increment of barren land. For which we need to do something
which is long lasting and make an effect also.
Nowadays government is also trying to raise the people living in
slums and side by side making many plans to get rid of this global
warming.
 Objectives to be achieved:
After finding the problem there is not much to do. Our objectives
were crystal clear, to plant a plenty amount of trees in that area
so that the temperature there does not exceed its limit and the
ground water level also increases. We distributed our duty to
water the plant every day. After visiting there we saw small
children watching from far away, what we were doing. I with my
team decided to do something for that. Our main goal shifted
from tree plantation to make them smile from the bottom of their
heart . We provided them with some the clothing, some sweets
because for them sweets are like gold, that they can’t afford it or
we can say they don’t have the luxury to buy the sweets so we
added sweets in our list to provide them. We also planned to play
some games and try to interact with them to make them
comfortable and make them understand that they are also the
part of our society , otherwise they feel shy and never try to take
something from the strangers. We tried our best to make them
happy and comfortable among our self, and make them
understand that they are not different form others, they can live
freely in this society.
 Various steps taken to achieve
the objectives:
My projects theme was to plant trees in near by areas in
Phagwara. We visited the slum areas because there were less
trees and as people living there were suffering an extreme hot
weather. For their soothing, we did plantation drive there. After
the drive was complete we all decided to visit there next day to
donate some clothes and sweets. And later on, me with my
project mates decided to make a visit there and take an
interactive session with them. We played games, asked some GK
questions and then their problems also. The good thing was that
all the children there, go to school and have quite knowledge
about global warming. We told them all about it and made it a
duty of each child to water a plant, we have planted there and
they took that task seriously also.

Effect of the project:

According to third law of newton every action has an equal and
opposite reaction. We put our immense efforts and in return we
got the smiles we want on their faces. Spending time with them
was a real pleasure and precious feeling . All the small kids living
in the slums were happier that they got the chance to express
themselves through their drawings and after the sweets they
were the happiest among all, but deep inside we all were happy
too. In the end when we all were leaving the started shouting
“Vapis aana bhaiya , bye” were really heart touching. Now they
know that they all are also the part of our society and money is
just a thing which can buy happiness but for a short period of
time.
The plantation drive near that area would decrease the
temperature of the that open field and in few times the greenery
of that area will also flourish with a soothing moment.

Conclusion:
After these all task, I got an extraordinary will power that is saying
me to perform all this task every month and I am glad to thank
LPU for such a wonderful project work which not only increased
are helping nature but also changed are point of view towards this
world. I get to know that money cannot buy the happiness and
satisfaction that I got in this project and how our environment can
get rude if we are not going to take care of it. It’s our major duty
to take care of our surrounding and our mother earth.
