During the school holidays, Alisa and her

brother went to visit their grandparents in

the village. They were very excited because
their parents allowed them to stay with
their grandparents for a week.
Their grandparents were very happy to see
them. Their parents stayed fora night and
the next morning, they left for work.
Later, that day, Alisa and her brother
followed their grandfather to the orchard
behind the house. There were many kinds
of fruits such as rambutans, durians,
mangosteens and jackfruits. They helped to
pick up the rambutans and put them in a big
basket. They ate the fruits and enjoyed
themselves very much.
Last Monday, Sue and her family
celebrated the Mooncake Festival. At night,
they gathered in the garden. Her mother
had prepared some mooncakes, fruits and
flowers for prayers.
Sue carried lanterns with her brother.
They also lighted up some candles around
the house. Then, they gathered at the
table and ate the mooncakes.
After that, Sue's grandfather asked them
to sit around him. He told them stories
about the Mooncake Festival. Everyone
enjoyed themselves that night.
Yesterday morning, Jane and her family
went to the park near their house. There
were many people at the park. Some boys
were cycling and her brother, John, joined
them.
Jane and her parents jogged around the
park. After a while, they stopped to do
some exercises. Then, they sat on a bench
and rested. They enjoyed the fresh
morning air.
Jane and John had an enjoyable time and
hoped to go to the park again.
Yesterday, Jin Khai was walking home from
school. He noticed a stall selling foods and
drinks. There were some flies around the
stall. However, he was very hungry so he
stopped at the stall. He bought a packet of
nasi lemak and a glass of syrup.
Later in the evening, he had a bad stomach
ache. He vomited several times. His mother
was very worried about him.
She took him to see a doctor. He told Jin
Khai that he had food poisoning. He gave
him some medicines and advised him not to
eat at any stalls that are dirty. Jin Khai
promised to be careful in future.
One day, Darren's mother gave him twenty
ringgit as pocket money for a week. She
asked him to spend wisely. Darren, being a
good boy, listened to his mother's advice.

The next day, Darren went to a bookshop.
He wanted to buy some stationery. On the
way, he saw a beggar sitting on the
pavement. He took pity on him and gave him
some money.
Darren told his mother about it. Later, he
put the balance in his coin box. She praised
him for spending his money wisely.
It is Children's Day today. We have a
concert at school. We watch our friends
singing and dancing on the stage. They
perform very well.
After that, we have a party. Our parents
have prepared a lot of foods. We eat
together with our classmates and teachers.
Later, we play treasure hunt. We compete
with other classes. Our class manages to
get the first placing and we receive a prize
at the end of the day.
One hot evening, Tom was walking in the
park. He was quite naughty and would throw
stones at animals. Suddenly, he noticed a
beehive.
In no time, Tom picked up a stone and
threw it towards the beehive. A swarm of
angry bees flew out. Tom was shocked and
ran away as fast as he could.
Unfortunately, the bees were too quick and
stung him. He screamed for help when he
saw his mother. She sent him to the
hospital for treatment. Tom promised not
to be cruel to animals anymore.
It was a breezy afternoon. Jing Hua and
Xuan decided to go fishing at the river near
their house. It was their first fishing trip
and they were very excited.
When they reached the river, Jing Hua
took out the fishing rods and bait. They
found a shady spot under a big tree. Then,
they cast their fishing lines into the river.
After some time, Xuan managed to catch a
fish. It was quite big. He was very happy.
Meanwhile, Jing Hua caught a smaller one.
They took home their catch for their
mother to cook for dinner.
One fine Sunday evening, Mrs Tan went to
the night market. The place was very
crowded. There were a lot of stalls and
noises were heard everywhere.
Suddenly, someone came from behind and
snatched Mrs Tan's handbag. She screamed
loudly for help.
Luckily, a few men came to her aid. They
chased after the man and caught him. Then,
they sent him to the police station. Mrs
Tan got her handbag back and she thanked
the men for their quick action.
It was Kenny's tenth birthday yesterday.
His parents took him to the cinema for a
birthday treat. It was located in a shopping
mall. There was a long queue at the ticket
counter, but they managed to get the
tickets.
Kenny wanted to watch a movie about
animation. Before entering the cinema, they
bought popcorn and drinks.
After that, they entered the cinema hall.
The movie was very interesting and they
enjoyed themselves very much.
It was Environment Day. Roney and his
classmates went to school. They wanted to
clean up the school compound. They
gathered in the school hall and were given
different tasks by their teachers.
Roney and his classmates collected empty
tins and bottles. Some of them cleared the
rubbish in the drains and planted flowers in
the pots.
After half a day of hard work, the
headmaster was pleased with the outcome.
The school looked beautiful and the
headmaster praised them for their hard
work. They were very proud and happy that
day.
