1. A car travels at a speed of 55 km/h. How far can it travel in 4 hours?

2. A train travelled at a speed of 64 km/h. How long did it take to travel a d

istance of 416 km?

3. Becky walks to the stadium which is 580 m away from her house for 20 minutes. She walks
back to her house using the same route at a speed of 20 m/min. What is Becky’s average
speed?

2
   24.5 m/min
  =
 _______
29 + 20
= 29 m/min = 6.5 h = 220 km
= 580 ÷ 20 = 416 ÷ 64 = 55 × 4
Speed = Distance ÷ Time Time = Distance ÷ Speed Distance = Speed × Time
3. 24.5 m/min 2. 6.5 h Solutions:  1. 220 km
