Course Description:
The course equips the students with knowledge and skills needed to be able to determine limits of functions, to differentiate algebraic, exponential,
logarithmic, and trigonometric functions in one variable. It also includes exposure to more challenging problems covering continuity and areas of regions.
Course Learning Outcome: At the end of the course, the BSED 2 Math Major students should be able to:
apply the principles of assessment in conceptualizing techniques for assessing authentic learning;
design performance-based assessment tools;
design assessment tools for effective learning;
develop portfolio to assess ones learning;
demonstrate skills in preparing and reporting grades; and
derive information from alternative forms of assessment in making instructional decisions.

Course Policies: Attendance:
A student who incurs 3 absences will be automatically dropped from class.
Thirty-minute late is equivalent to one absence.
Late Assignments:
Students are encouged to submit assignments on time.
In case the student is absent, submission of assignments in behalf of his/her absence will not
honored.
Non-submission of requirements entails a grade of 65.
Cheating:
Copied from a classmate will be automatically marked 65.
Cheatting will be dealt with according to the policies stipulated in the BCC policies.
Anyone caught cheating in any manner will be subjected to disciplinary action in accordance with
the BCC policy.
Classroom/Online Etiquette:
Good behavior is expected at all times.
Participation is highly encouraged.
Rude behavior in the class as howling, using of cellphone during discussion/activities, being
generally disagreeable and argumentative with the presenter, talking while someone is speaking,
and the like will be dealt with according to the BCC policies.
