GRATITUDE
I want to especially and sincerely thank the Director of the Humberto Luna de Calca school,
Teaher Guillermo Venero Lovon, who gave me the valuable opportunity to carry out my internship
at the institution he presides over, as well as teacher David CCasa, who was in charge of
qualifying my practices, To each one of the teachers of the school that supported and guided
throughout my process, which somehow influenced positive in my professional and personal
training.

I also want to express my most sincere gratitude to teacher Tania Ortiz who was in charge of
monitoring my practices for her patience and generosity in sharing her experience and extensive
knowledge with me. For your attention and promptness responses to the different concerns that
arose during the development of this work, which has also been reflected in the good results
obtained.

And, of course, the deepest and heartfelt thanks to my family. Without their support, collaboration

2. DESCRIPTION OF THE PLACE OF PRACTICES

The school is a state institution of secondary level for boys located in the Province of Calca,
capital of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, department of Cusco - PERU; It belongs to the UGEL –
CALCA, which has a student population of 420 students with an area of approximately 5,010 m2.
The Director is Professor LUIS GUILLERMO VENERO LOVON.

3. ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT DURING THE PRACTICES

It is a great honor to address you, first of all wishing you a very good day and good health, I
present the following document to provide you with a brief report on the practices carried out from
May 16 to.

FIRST.- I carried out my internships at the Humberto Luna De Calca school, a boys' school. The
first week, which consists of May 16 to May 19, this week administrative and management work
was carried out, it was a vacation week for the students, I did not attend the management week
since they were not working by areas and I did not want to bother or inconvenience them, but I
was able to communicate with the English teacher and agree on how our work would be, the
teacher received me very kindly.

SECOND.- Being Monday, May 23, I went to the educational institution, I greeted and introduced
myself to the administrative staff and some teachers, I was surprised that several of my teachers
who taught me in high school worked there, they were very happy that I am already finishing the
career and I had the courage to introduce myself to this school since being all male the work and
the methodology is different, I accompanied the teacher to the two sections and in both I was
present as the intern who would come to support them and also give classes, throughout the
week I did the observation work and I realized that the students are a little distracted and only
with a significant class can they learn better, the teacher was very strict with several of them,
perhaps the fact that he already knew them and knew how they were treated differently, I was
also surprised that one of the fourth graders knew how to speak English almost perfectly since his
relatives talked about him at home, so every time who entered that room had a very good
conversation with him, this week I took a good look at the teacher's working method so that when
he dictates the sessions the boys don't miss a beat. So I spent the week until May 26.

THIRD.- From Monday, May 31 to July 14, I gave my class sessions. I must say that it was
difficult at first as I was afraid of how the students would react to my teaching method. Every day
that passed he tried to improve. Along with the recommendations that the teacher gave me after
each class, I changed the structures of my sessions and improved them, I also learned to
manage the boys, it was very difficult with the secondary rooms since they were more boisterous
and sometimes they rebelled. and they didn't want to obey, but every time it got out of control, the
teacher was there to support me, since being a woman and not having such a strong character, I
didn't want to make them angry.

I also realized that classes are heavier after lunch, so I looked for ways to get students active in
my class, introduced them to enough online games to get their attention, and in some cases the
media cannon failed me. He made them act and there they entertained themselves more and
they quickly understood the purpose of the class, but there were several things that they did not
like to do, such as the texts or some dialogues, they wanted a lot of time, but in the end they
always finished it.

There was a week where they worked in the computer room and then displayed their work on
visual organizers, several students were very creative with their maps, they did it on trees,
butterflies, body parts, flowers, etc. they don't like to expose, they are afraid to speak in front of
their peers for fear of making mistakes and that others make fun of them, but it is the opposite
among them they give each other a lot of encouragement and applause.

On June 9, 2022, after the recess, an activity scheduled for the same day was carried out. It took
us by surprise, since the mayor of the municipality of Calca and several aldermen appeared at
the school, announcing that they were going to begin work to improve the school, some new
facilities for the sports area, a soccer field and covered volleyball court, a small performance was
made, some dances from the night shift were presented and some songs from the students of the
band with the teachers, then the first stone was placed, several photos were taken and the
students left for lunch , after lunch time I prepared to return to the educational institution to teach
but I was surprised to see that there was no teacher and the students were still playing in the
courtyard, the bell did not ring either, I was worried until he told the students to go home as the
teachers, the mayor and some administrators were celebrating in one of the rooms, sharing a
meal and some drinks.

During the week of celebrations in the province of Calca, the work was irregular since the march
was incessant, a lot was demanded of them, since this school is characterized by being one of

the best and standing out in various activities, that is why puts a lot of effort and it is the director
himself who instructs the teachers that yes or yes the students should stand out, for the parade
the same thing happened, obviously not all the students danced, only those selected by the art
teacher and the tallest, we danced the dance of the morenada, that day of the parade we were all
excited to go, since we made a lot of effort to learn the choreography and the steps, several
classes were missing to perfect the dance and yes or yes I had to be the best and stand out and
it was So.

On teacher's day there was no work but the next day the students prepared a surprise for the
teachers, it was a very nice act since we did not expect it at least for my part I did not think they
would call me but if they did that made me feel better, since they considered me as one more
member of the educational institution, after the small tribute and performance of the students, the
mothers and family members of the committee of parents came, they brought food and some
drinks, it was a nice gesture since they always they are pending the activities of the institution,
they were thanked, a part of the institutional community left after lunch and the other part stayed
to share more time while they danced and drank.

FOURTH.- The first day of observation was a Wednesday, June 1, 2022, this day I was very
nervous, and for that reason I could not speak English to the students, since I was afraid of
making a mistake, as it was the first session I was performing I was scared, I think my nerves got
the better of me but even so the class was quite good and meaningful for the students even
though I did it in Spanish. Because I did not teach my classes or most of them in English, a
second visit was agreed for another evaluation, with better preparation and several tips from the
first evaluation time. On June 7, 2022 I received my second visit, I developed most of the session
in English with its respective translation so that the students can understand me, at the moment
of playing the potato burns to make a reminder of past classes, one of the students fell from his
seat trying to catch the ball, I kept laughing because he was in evaluation despite the small
accident the student was not injured and the class continued to develop in a better way, all the
students collaborated and participated a lot that gave me encouragement and more confidence.

FIFTH.- During the last two weeks of practices, the students confessed to me that they got used
to my teaching method, several of them thought that I would stay to work and it was more of a
shame when I told them until what day I would stay, I was already sad that I took a lot of affection
for them and several of them for me, they shed tears asking me to stay longer, I promised to do
everything possible to return, I made as much progress as possible in the best way, the teacher

already left me alone in the class and he trusted me, the last few days he just reviewed and I said
goodbye to the students.

SIXTH.- During the practices at the Humberto Luna de Calca school I realized that as the days
went by I lost my fear of speaking English in front of the students, at first this was very
complicated for me because I was afraid of teasing and some bad comments, as the weeks went
by I gained more confidence and lost that fear of expressing myself in front of them, in recent
weeks I already felt more confident, my control of the room and of the students improved a lot.

SEVENTH. I was able to verify during my internships that there are circumstances that can arise
no matter how prepared one is and that is where quick decisions and creative solutions must be
made, for example one day I had everything prepared on slides and due to external factors the
electricity went out, that is here that I had to apply other teaching methods; what I want to explain
is that during the on-site work things are learned that in the classrooms I could not have learned.

CONCLUSIONS

 I came to understand that the teacher must be a transforming and innovative delegate of
the educational reality, who always looks for a way for the students to acquire the skills
that the curriculum promotes or proposes, monitor everything as if it were a radar, in
addition to maintaining the error as a teaching strategy, managing to change the vision of
their students towards the future so that they can be human beings and relate to each
other in the context in which they develop.
 In conclusion, putting theory into practice is one of the most important challenges that I
have had as a future teacher when it comes to using what I have learned and seeing how
what the theory says is contrasted with the reality lived in the educational center where I
learn everything to teach
