Activity Title: Integumentary Sensations

Learning Target: I can dentify the different sensations in the different exposures
to the different forms of electromagnetic waves
Reference: PEAC Science 10 Module on Force, Motion and Energy
Concept Notes:
We live in a modern world where throb of alternating current generates electromagnetic
waves. Some breakthrough in technology such as mobile
communications, radar, microwave ovens and many more are made
possible because of electromagnetic waves. We are surrounded by
electromagnetic waves, thus part of our everyday undertakings is the
exposure to the different forms of electromagnetic radiations. How safe
are electromagnetic waves?
Directions: The pictures below show situations on exposure to the different forms of
electromagnetic radiation. What skin sensations can you associate with
the different situations? Write your answers in the table below and
answer the process questions.
