DUBAILAND RESIDENCE COMPLEX

DUBAI, UAE

Landscape Outline Specification

No Description Cover Depth

1 Quick Coupling Valve 250 mm (dia.) 230 mm

2 Pull box, 1” Air valve & Flush Valve 430 x 295 mm 300 mm

3 Solenoid valves up to 2” 590 x 349 mm 380 mm

4 Solenoid valves above 2” & Isolation valves up to 3” 825 x 495 mm 450mm

Measurements are taken from the top of boxes. Covers shall be secured by stainless steel (A4-
70) bolts.

2. Pressure Compensating Emitters

Emitters shall be constructed from durable black-heat resistant plastic. The emitters shall be of
barbed configuration which can be inserted easily in to Polyethylene tubing. Pressure
compensation shall be achieved by a flexible orifice located in resilient Silicone Elastomer
diaphragms. The orifice should be self-flushing type and shall clean itself during each irrigation
cycle at the start up and the shut down. The emitters should have manual flushing capability
also. The emitter exponent shall be 0.10 or less. The body and the diaphragm should be resistant
to high concentration of Chlorine, fertilizers and pesticides.

The test should be carried out in an independent laboratory within UAE.

All fittings for drip line shall be compression type. The emitters must be pressure compensating
according to ISO9260 and emission rate of the emitter shall remain constant at varying water
pressure from 1bar to 4.5 bars. The flow path in emitter must ensure non-turbulent flow and
emitter must confirm to excellent pressure compensation and self cleaning/ Flushing
mechanism. The emitter must be clogging resisting and the filtration requirement not more than
150 mesh. Coefficient of variation shall be less than 5%. the flow of emitter must remain same
/constant at temperatures varying from 0 to 60 deg. celcius.

3. In Line Drip tubes

In line drip tube shall consists of linear low-density polyethylene tubing with pressure
compensating, self flushing integral drip emitters. Tube shall have minimum out side diameter
(OD) 16mm and wall thickness 1.2 ± 0.1mm pipes for drip lines shall be manufactured from
low-density polyethylene incorporating a minimum of 2.5 % carbon black content and shall
have a working pressure of 4kg/cm2.

Random samples of drip tubes shall be subjected is the Teepol Crack resistance test. The
samples shall be immersed in a bath containing a solution of 10%. Teepol and 90% water
maintained at 50 degree C. The pipe should resist the solution without showing any fatigue or
crack for a period of 150 hours.

The test should be carried out on an independent laboratory within the Country.

The emitters must be pressure compensating according to ISO 9261-2004 and the emission rate
of the emitters shall remain constant at varying water pressure from 1 bar to 4.5 bar. The flow
path of in the emitter must ensure non turbulent flow and emitter must confirm to excellent
pressure compensation and self cleaning mechanism. The emitter must be clogging resisting and
filtration requirement not more than 150 mesh co-efficient of variation shall be less than 5%.
