A. Prepare the APS STAND (RRT095052)
NOTE: Refer to the instructions given in the APS STAND (RRT095052) manual.
(1) Move the APS STAND (RRT095052) into position from the rear and align them with
the engine.
(2) If aircraft is in the MTOW configuration (without passenger and cargo loads), do th
e following two steps using the APS stand user guide.
(3) Tilt the rear of the APS STAND (RRT095052) and power plant with the special tool
provided in the APS STAND (RRT095052) storage box.
(a) Install the special tool in its position on the APS STAND (RRT095052) and in
stall the two PIN - SAFETY.
(b) Turn the special tool housing counterclockwise until the APS STAND (RRT09
5052) left rear trunnion is released.
(c) Remove the left rear trunnion from the APS STAND (RRT095052) and stow i
t in the storage box.
(d) Continue to turn the special tool housing counterclockwise until the APS STA
ND (RRT095052) and power plant are lowered.
(4) Change the position of the APS STAND (RRT095052) rear castors to lower the pow
er plant more for the installation.
(a) Before using the hydraulic jack kit, ensure that the ground is flat and has no
t cracks that could damage the jacks.
(b) Remove the safety pins and move the rear jacks to the lowered position. Ins
tall the safety pins.
(c) Close the valve on the hand pump and move the pump plug into the positio
n marked event.
(d) Operate the hand pump to lift the APS STAND (RRT095052) so that the real
castor wheels are not in contact with the ground.
NOTE: Each rear castor wheel has 2 off pins to set the stand castor wheel
position.
(e) Remove the left and right castor-wheel front-pins from the stand high positi
ons and install them in the stand temporary low positions.
(f) Remove the left and right castor-wheel rear-pins from the stand high and lo
w positions.
(g) Lift the left rear castor-wheel and install the rear pins in the stand high and
low positions.
(h) Lift the right rear castor-wheel and install the rear pins in the stand high an
d low positions.
(i) Make sure that all rear castor-wheel-pin safety-pins are installed.
(j) Open the valve on the hand pump to lower the APS STAND (RRT095052) so
that the rear castor wheels are loaded on the ground.
(l) Remove the safety pins and move the rear jacks to the raised position. Inst
all the safety pins.
NOTE: This will lower the stand by 45.00 mm (1.77 in.). The stand is now
lowered 80.00 mm (3.15 in.).
(5) Turn the hand wheel counterclockwise to open the front arms.
- Make sure that you open the front arms fully to have sufficient clearance wh
en the engine is lowered.

NOTE: Be careful, without air intake, you lose useful reference during engine removal
and installation to manage engine position in the forward pylon area.
NOTE: Monitor permanently all dynamometers to avoid any blocking issue on shear pin
s and to avoid overloads mainly on the rear right hoisting point. The risk to cau
se damage to the engine is very high.
NOTE: A weight value difference compared to the nominal value on each hoisting poin
t, due to the quantity of remaining fluid in the engine or due to inaccuracies wh
en reading (dynamometers calibration, mechanics position, etc.) is possible. A r
eading tolerance of plus or minus 50 daN (112 lbf) can be acceptable.
NOTE: When lifting or lowering the engine and during shear pins insertion in or diseng
agement from the engine mounts, as soon as the engine is blocked on shear pi
ns, the cells value are changing. Stop immediately to move the engine and com
e back to the nominal value.
NOTE: If the loads on the dynamometers is unknown pending engine configuration eng

at aft right, lift the engine, do the sum of the three values identified on the dyn
amometers and apply these percentages for each location.
