Human Behavior in an Organization (Education)

REACTION PAPER
The topic which was entitled intellectual ability was discussed with focus on intelligence
theories. She discussed about intelligence which according to her means the ability to acquire
and apply knowledge and skills. She also discussed the primary mental abilities and multiple
intelligences.
Learning all of these, it lead me to realize that the primary mental abilities are the focus of
development in school yet some would argue that everyone would differ in intelligence or we
may say also have the so called multiple intelligence.
As an educator I fell that these intelligence except for the primary intelligence are being
developed iun different culminating activities like festival of talents, sports meets,
extracurricular activities etc., but I would argue that still the primary intelligences should be
developed first and not be forgotten. I stated this, because there are few teachers that uses
these activities for some advantages. For instance, sacrificing academic class schedules in
exchange for a schedule for a sports practice cause ,we may say that, a winning is credited as a
point for professional promotion.
Some teachers use class time for another unnecessary activity which is within the so called
intelligence of a child and making them believe that these children are doing fine.
I believe that there should always be balance in developing a child. Have the primary
intelligences kindled, instilled and applied using the other intelligences. Because in this
changing beautiful world a well learned individual with multiple skills and abilities combined
with boosted confidence are the more likely to land a job.
I hope as an educator, I will be more equipped with skills to use these multiple intelligences to
have these children learn the primary intelligences at the same time boost their confidence for
them to be asset of their family and community.
