Chapter V

REFLECTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the reflection and recommendations based on the data

that is interpreted and gathered.

Reflection

Based on the data gathered of the researchers, the researchers came up with

the following reflection:

1. There are lived experiences in conducting the study, Student's experience the

difficulties in speaking in English or reading in English but those challenges

they overcome because they strive to learn more in English.

2. Students find it difficult to speak in English due to lack of practicing and

enhancing their English speaking skills.

3. The Students' have seen the importance of learning more in English to

enhance their vocabulary,pronunciation and reading, and overcome the

nervousness and embarrassment they feel during the presentation.

Recommendation

Based on the reflection of this study, the following recommendations were

presented for the purpose of improvements and further research purpose.

1. Teachers should establish a reading program and conduct more activities like

class debate, impromptu speaking, speech choir, role plays and etc. in order to
enhance the speaking skill of students and overcome the challenges they have

faced.

2. The School Administrators must conduct a reading test ( I-read) for every students in

which it examines the students’ capacity knowledge in reading English. With this, it

allows the teachers to know what are the strategies to do in order to help the students in

difficulties of speaking in English.

3. English club leaders should add reading center and congress the Humanities and

Social Sciences strand.
