III. Rationale : Planning lessons is fundamental for efficient and
effective delivery of teaching and secure the
achievement of learning outcomes.

Section 5 of RA 10533 encourages teachers to

make full use of pedagogical approaches:
Constructivism, Inquiry-Based, Collaborative,
Integrative; as well as contextualization strategies -
localization, indigenization, and enhancement, in
their lessons to make it more relevant and
meaningful to learners.

As the Republic Act 10533 or the Enhanced Basic

Education Act of 2013 brings change to the
educational system, it is of great importance that
teachers, as facilitators of the learning process,
should be well-equipped on Daily Lesson
preparation including teaching strategies for the K
to 12 Basic Education Program.

IV. Objectives : This SLAC aims to:

1. Deepen the grasp on the Policy Guidelines
on Daily Lesson Preparation for the K to 12
Basic Education Program;

2. Engage teacher-participants in
formulating/preparing lesson plans in the
subjects they’re handling; and

3. Contextualize lessons based on respective

educational and social context.
