SUMMARY OF INFORMATION:

At around 9:55 AM of April 28, 2022, Bulanao Sub-Station personnel responded to a

reported armed encounter at Barangay Malalao, Tabuk City Kalinga wherein the involved
operating units were joint personnel of Task Force Limbas led by PCOL BERNARD B
MARZAL, RID, Tabuk CPS led by PLTCO DINULONG B TOMBALI, RSOG/RDEU led by
PMAJ JET SAYNO, PIB/PDEU led by PLTCOL ARMANDO LORETE, PHPT KALINGA led
by PMAJ DUMALLAY, CIDG KALINGA-APAYAO led by PMAJ DUGAO JR, RMFB 15 130rd
COY against five (5) unidentified armed suspects transpired at Malalao, Tabuk City, Kalinga
at around 09:45 AM of this date. It was disclosed that at around 4:00 AM of April 28, 2022,
personnel of Task Force Limbas and RSOG coordinated with the COP of Tabuk CPS,
informing that the robbery hold-up gang operating in region 2, 3 and 4 and also involved in
transporting marijuana was sighted in the City of Tabuk. Intel operatives immediately
conducted casing and surveillance and the operation was also coordinated with PDEA
Kalinga. At around 9:30 AM of April 28, 2022, while operating units were conducting
checkpoint along Bulo, Tabuk City Kalinga, a gray/black Almera bearing license plate
number NUS 11 disregarded the checkpoint and sped off trying to bump the operatives. The
occupants also pointed and fired an unknown firearm to the operatives. The operatives
immediately chased the vehicle until they reached Barangay Malalao, Tabuk City, Kalinga
that resulted to armed encounter against earlier deployed team of PLT BALANAY. Two (2)
suspects were dead on the spot at the Crime scene, while the other three (3) of the suspects
having signs of life were immediately brought to Mejia Kim Hospital, Agbannawag, Tabuk
City, Kalinga for medication however they were declared dead on arrival by Dr Alrin Falgui,
attending physician. Personnel of SOCO, Media, DOJ, PECU/EOD processed the crime
scene witnessed by representative from Media, DOJ and Barangay Officials.

in the Philippines.
