EL PROPÓSITO DE HOY ES: Leerás el cuento “Do not tolerate violence!” e identificarás los eventos más importantes de la historia con la ayuda
de imágenes y el mensaje que desea transmitir. También, escogerás un final adecuado para la historia y elaborarás tus propias imágenes que
ayudaran a comprender el desenlace. Podrás escuchar el “Audio del Recurso” y así practicar la pronunciación.

Antes de la lectura
Listen and read
Antes de leer la historia “Do not tolerate violence!”, te invitamos a
conocer a los personajes de la historia. Ellos son los siguientes:
¿Cuántos años crees que tienen Sandra y Mario?
¿Cuál es la relación entre ellos?¿Qué crees que pasara en la historia?
Durante la lectura
Para leer la historia “Do not tolerate violence!”, te recomendamos seguir
los siguientes pasos:
- Descarga el audio de la historia
- Descarga la historia
- Haz una primera lectura. Lee toda la historia sin poner pausa
mientras escuchas el audio y sin usar un diccionario o traductor.
- Luego, léela nuevamente y detente en las partes que llamen tu
atención e imagina lo que lees.
- En una tercera lectura, regresa a las frases o palabras que consideras
importante para comprender mejor lahistoria.
Cada vez que leas la historia, también escucha el audio. Escucha la historia
cuantas veces quieras.
Observarás que algunos verbos están en tiempo pasado por eso hemos
vuelto a subir la lista de verbos. Úsala si la necesitas.

Ahora que ya leíste la historia: “Do not tolerate violence!”, estás lista/o para
el siguiente reto: ESCOGER UN FINAL APROPIADO PARA LA HISTORIA Y
CREAR UN DIBUJO QUE REPRESENTE ESTE FINAL.
Choose an ending for the story. The ending must be coherent with the events
and the message of the story.
What’s the end of the story?
Option A:
Sandra felt bad and decided to take Karate lessons. She learned to fight. One day
when Mario humiliated Sandra, she hit Mario. Sandra’s classmates told the
teacher that Sandra was the problem and called her parents. Finally, Sandra was
expelled from school.
Option B:
Sandra and Mario finished school and got married. They had three children.
Mario hit Sandra when he was drunk, but nobody noticed. Sandra always thought
she was the problem in the relationship and decided to live this life forever.
Option C:
Sandra felt bad and told her best friend Vanesa that she needed help. Vanessa
told the teacher that Sandra was a victim of violence. The teacher called 100 line
for help. Sandra learned that true love respects you and makes you happy. Her
true friends and family helped Sandra. Sandra decided to finish her relationship
with Mario forever.
Now, draw a picture of this end of the story. Be creative and make sure the picture
represents the ending. What is really important about your product is that it meets these
criterias:

story and the message it wants to give the reader.
2. The picture(s) you draw represents the end of the story.
- Se ordenada/o al crear tu producto y usa toda tu creatividad, ya sean dibujos,
imágenes cortadas de revistas, periódicos o una combinación de ambos. Sé
creativa/o y arma tu producto usando lo que tienes en casa.
- Si tienes computadora e Internet, puedes crear tus dibujos en una
presentación en Power Point u otro programa que desees.

¿Qué te parecio la historia? ¿Por qué? Relaciona las siguientes frases para
expresar aquello que represente mejor tu opinión en inglés. Si deseas usa un
diccionario o mira el glosario al final de este documento.
