Dear Parents
It is said that time spent with family and friends, is the time well
spent. The best childhood memories are woven in the vacation
especially the much-awaited long summer break. It is the perfect
time to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy. As important it is to rest and
enjoy for the children, it is important to learn and rekindle their
creative skills. To strike a perfect balance between work and play
we have crafted a homework schedule which surely would open
vistas for growth.

HAVE A FUNFILLED VACATION

nature and family.

My Planner: Setting up a routine is a must to inculcate good habits and

strike a balance between work and play. Help and guide your child plan
his/her daily routine for the vacation. Encourage him/her maintain a diary
for the vacation and jot down their daily routine/activities.

➢ Harry Potter series
➢ The Adventures of Tintin
➢ The Chronicles of Narnia
➢ Alice in Wonderland
➢ Diary of a Wimpy Kid
Responsible Citizen -Our school leaves no stone unturned to bring
miraculous change in your child’s life. However, it is very important to
instill the attitudes and traits that make children responsible. Saving energy
is often thought of as a job best left to adults, but getting children involved
is a great way to show them that their actions have a big impact on the
world. Encourage them to take an initiative to conserve water and electricity
and make this world a better place to live in.

Nurture Nature- Inspire them to be the harbinger of this planet to sustain

its greenery. Help them to plant a sapling and nurture it.

Proud to be an Indian - Patriotism means love, respect and loyalty to one’s

country. Instilling values of patriotism in children will help them become
responsible citizens. During this summer break, take your children to India
Gate to pay reverence to the Amar Jawan Jyoti- The Flame of the Immortal
Soldiers. Encourage and inspire children to read inspiring patriotic stories
and pay a visit to the places associated with these patriotic heroes.

Revisit History- India possesses a glorious past. Even today the

magnanimous historical monuments of Delhi echo the magnificent history
of India. They are a treasure trove of information. Visit such monuments to
build a connect with our history and culture. Take your children and visit
these monuments to feel proud of our prestigious past. Encourage and guide
them to pen down their experience of visiting these monuments.

Learning Visuals- Together with your child watch informative TV

channels – Discovery Channel, History Channel, BBC Earth, etc.

Proficiency in Writing- Give a topic to your child each day and encourage
them to practice writing paragraphs, stories, picture description which
would hone their skills of writing.
Gratitude to Parents- Recently we have celebrated Mother’s Day and in
the month of June we all will be celebrating Father’s Day. On these days
children express their love in the form of warm wishes, cards and gifts. Let’s
celebrate each day as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day by teaching our
young ones to do small household chores such as laying the dinner table,
organizing their cupboards, keeping the house clean and keeping things at
the proper place, etc.

The Young MasterChef’s- Help them be little chefs. Involve them in

preparation of healthy drinks like lemonade or any refreshing drink with
fresh fruits. Promote them to replace the fizzy drinks with their handmade
healthy drinks. Let them prepare any simple dish for you. Appreciate their
efforts.

We would really appreciate if you could keep a record of all the above
activities in a colourful scrap file and submit the same after the holidays.

The Summer Assignment has two sections.
