NARRATIVE REPORT ON REMEDIATION FOR STUDENTS’ PERFORMANCE TASK IN EsP

DepEd affirms its commitment through “Sulong Edukalidad Framework” the agency through the
Bureau of Curriculum Development developed the MELC to ensure inclusive and equitable quality
education and promote lifelong learning opportunities to all despite the COVID-19 pandemic. A
performance task is any learning activity or assessment that asks students to perform to demonstrate
their knowledge, understanding and proficiency. Performance tasks yield a tangible product and/or
performance that serves as evidence of learning. Unlike a selected-response item (e.g., multiple-choice
or matching) that asks students to select from given alternatives, a performance task presents a
situation that calls for learners to apply their learning in context.

In line with this, I as a teacher conducted a remediation on performance task In EsP to help the
learners cope up with their grades amidst the pandemic. Learning through modular modality and
asynchronously is really a very difficult task among the learners. The remediation was conducted last
May 11, 2021 which started at 8:00 onwards to those learners who were unable to perform the given
task for them through virtual and face to face.
