This research abstract proposes a study on the effectiveness of reimposing limited face-to-face classes on the academic performance of grade 12 honor students in Crecencia Drusila Lopez Senior High School. The study aims to compare limited face-to-face and modular learning, identify factors that affect students and teachers, and determine the impact on academic performance. It will employ a quantitative survey of honor students to gather data from September 2022 to June 2023 on understanding, strategies, and performance under the partial return of in-person instruction.

PURPOSE To compare the limited face
to face and the modular learning in the level of understanding of the students To identify the different factors that affects the students and teachers in reimposing the limited face- to- face classes. To determine the level of effectiveness of reimposing limited face-to-face classes to the academic performance of grade 12 honor students in CDLSHS To elaborate the new self- learning strategies of the students
BACKGROUND Many years had passed when the
pandemic hit the whole world, affecting every individual's life. This pandemic even affects the education of every student in the world and has changed the way it was before. Education is the most important thing that every individual should acquire because it helps us be a better version of ourselves and helps us achieve our goals and dreams in life. But after this pandemic, it stopped the old way of learning, which was face-to- face, and started online learning, which is somehow difficult for other students.
After two years, the Department of
Education (DEPED) reimposed limited face-to-face instruction for the 2022–2023 school year, which elicited varying reactions from parents, teachers, and, most importantly, all students. Some students have different reactions and ways of adjusting that also affect their physical, mental, and emotional health and even financial situations that also have different effects on their academic performance. In this study, we will determine how the reimposing of limited face-to-face classes affects the academic performance of grade 12 honor students in CDLSHS.
DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/ The honor students from Grade 12
APPROACH HUMSS will serve as the respondents for our study, which will employ quantitative research methods with a descriptive design and a random sampling approach. Additionally, it will use survey consignments, which will be its main tool, to be sent to respondents. In order to gather sufficient data relevant to the study's goals TIME TABLE SEPTEMBER 2022 - JUNE 2023 RESEARCH LIMITATIONS/APPROACH The limitation of our study is that we are unable to cover the academic performance of Grade 12 non-honor students because our primary focus is on Grade 12 honor students. We will not consider the issues that constrained face-to- face classes might run into; instead, our only focus would be the value of reintroducing face-to- face instruction.
ORIGINALITY/VALUE In this study, we can determine the
importance of determining the impact of reintroducing limited face-to-face instruction on students' academic performance. We will also know how to build on new learning strategies for both teachers and learners to attain their academic performance goals, and we will be able to identify the numerous aspects that affect not only students but also teachers.
