GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT–SENSITIVE TRAINING WORKSHOP ON

MINDFULNESS AND ETHICAL LEADERSHIP

1. This Schools Division Office announces the conduct of Gender And Development
(GAD)-Sensitive Training Workshop on Mindfulness and Ethical Leadership for
CPSU Stakeholders by Prof. Cecilia B. Manikan EdD on September 22 – 24, 2023 at
CPSU Main Campus, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
2. As it adopts the theme: “Navigating Education from Higher Ground through Whole
Brain Self Mastery and Mindfulness Practice”, this activity aims to:
2.1 develop strategies and innovative approaches for holistic value-laden, brain
compatible pedagogy;
2.2 develop whole brain capability in problem solving and decision making utilizing
the quadrant lenses of logic and objectivity, facts and accuracy, impact on people,
and future possibilities;
2.3 apply neuroscience principles of mind-body-spirit connection to better manage
thoughts and behavior, improve relationships, and achieve health and well-being;
2.4 evaluate and assess “fit” between jobs and people;
2.5 improve teamwork and productivity and develop a personal strategy to handle
and manage stress and stressors;
2.6 improve communication skills and enter into a true spirit of dialogue based on
genuine understanding of people’s perspectives, values, and motivations; and
2.7 strive to access and develop the highest best Self in light of expanded
consciousness and understanding of universal and amidst differences and
diversities.

participants. Furthermore, there shall be no discrimination in the conduct of this
