d. Checking of Assignment
Do you have any assignments? Yes, teacher.
Okay, kindly collect John Lloyd.
e. Classroom rules
Alright, so before we proceed to our lesson
proper, we have 5 classroom rules that you
need to follow in our class.
1. Respect yourselves and to others.
2. Raise your right hand if you want to
say something.
3. Don’t make noise.
4. Listen attentively.
5. Don’t share your wrong answers.
Understand? Yes, Teacher.
f. Review
So let us now review our previous lesson.
What was our topic all about yesterday?
Yes, Elijah. “It was about different angles
(right, acute and obtuse
angle)”
Very good!
Now, can you give one example of those
angles that we tackled about yesterday?
Yes, Princess. Right angle teacher.
Perfectly!
c. Presenting c. Presentation
examples/Instances Now, class based on the pictures that you
of new lesson have seen can you say something on what
you have observed?
Very good!
Another, yes, John Lloyd. Students answers
That’s right!
A B
Read as line AB In symbol AB
Now take a look at this picture.
Can you see this picture? What is this class?
Very good! Yes teacher, a house teacher.
Now class, Do you see lines in this picture? In
what parts of the house do you see lines? Yes teacher.
Do you think we can draw houses without All parts of the house teacher.
lines? No, teacher.
Are lines important? Why?
We see lines in most of the things around us.
We see different kinds of lines in almost The students answers vary
everything.
Parallel Lines
Let us look at this drawing of the fence.
Parallel lines are lines that do not intersect. (The students are listening)
Lines AB and CD below are parallel lines. They
will not intersect however long we extend
them to the left or to the right.
Horizontal lines
And so we say, “Perpendicular lines are lines (The students are listening)
that intersect and form a right angle”.
STEPS:
1. Draw a straight line using a ruler
2. Align the edge of the triangle along the line
you drew
3. Then, align the ruler at the base of your
triangle. Mark the first line as line a.
4. Slide the triangle downward along the side
of the ruler and draw another line from the
edge of the triangle. Mark the second line as
line b.
5. Move your tool and see the parallel lines
you have drawn. Be sure not to move the
ruler.
STEPS:
1. Draw a straight line using the ruler. Mark
the line as line a.
2. Align the base of the triangle along the line
you draw.
3. Align the ruler along the hypotenuse or the
side of the triangle opposite the right
4. Align the ruler along the hypotenuse or the
side of the right triangle opposite the right
angle. And draw a line along the side of a
triangle. Mark the line as line b.
(Students are listening)
So now, as you can see class we have drawn a
90 degree angle here in our perpendicular
triangle.
What is It
How do the kinds of lines differ from one
another? Take a close look at the
examples. Yes teacher.
Parallel lines – lines that do not intersect. The
figures below show
parallel lines.
Correct!
Let us give ourselves five yahoo claps.
