I am writing to you about your open position as a Research Assistant in the Area of Inclusive Growth. After
recently obtaining my degree in Philosophy, I am eager to leave the theoretical field and use my knowledge
in a practical discipline. For that reason, I believe that your line of research would be an outstanding fit for
me, given its immediate social impact. Personally, I think that academic research tends to focus too much on
the business side, so it is encouraging to see how it can be used in a more humane capacity.

Moreover, I reckon I am the ideal candidate for the position. Not only I recently graduated from a field that
gives me a wide and interdisciplinary perspective on issues, but I also have a particular interest in ethical and
political discussions. Furthermore, I have been praised for my ability to work independently and give
maximum effort in every task, since I love taking on high volumes of work and working under huge pressure.
Finally, my previous experience in academic research lends me exclusive training on extracting conclusions
from hard data, as well as in managing projects and deciding on further lines of research.
