What is a speech?
SPEECH
Is the faculty or power of speaking, an oral communication and
the ability to express one's thoughts and emotions by speech
sounds and gesture. It is a way of conveying once idea in a
specific audience.
THE TYPES OF
SPEECH
INFORMATIVE SPEECH
An informative speech aims to educate, enlighten, or provide
information to an audience about a specific topic. The primary
goal of an informative speech is to convey factual information
in a clear, concise, and engaging manner, helping the audience
understand and learn about the subject matter.
PERSUASIVE SPEECH
A persuasive speech aims to persuade or convince the
audience to adopt a particular viewpoint, belief, or action. The
speaker presents arguments, evidence, and appeals to logic
and emotions to sway the audience's opinion and motivate
them to take action.
ENTAINMENT SPEECH
An entertainment speech is primarily meant to amuse,
entertain, or engage the audience. The focus is on providing
enjoyment, laughter, or a pleasant experience through humor,
storytelling, anecdotes, or engaging narratives.
